The Christmas / Midwinter pageant, NOWELL SING WE CLEAR, will be performed on Tuesday, December 11th, 2012 at 7.30pm in the Latchis Theater. That's not a typo, it will be on a TUESDAY. John Roberts and Tony Barrand with Fred Breunig and Andy Davis will present their seasonal songs, ballads and carols and Mummers play as they have every year since 1975. There will as always be a bundle of new as well as best-loved carols, with a printed program to help the audience sing along. The first half of the show will follow the well-known "Christmas story" as Joseph and Mary Mild head to Bethlehem to birth the infant Savior in a wooden manger in an oxen stall in back of the over-crowded inn. After the mummers play and examination of the CD table, the presentation moves through the progression of customs which fill out the 12 days following the "darkest day of the year". Tickets will be $20.00 in advance ($22.00 at the door) and $17.00 for seniors and children ($19.00 at the door).
